Lieder
A very early cycle - Ariannedd Chwefror - predates the composer's first major lieder commission by the BBC in Wales for St David's Music Week: The Silent Land. Kenneth Bowen and Paul Hamburger gave the first performance of songs to words by Christina Rosetti. The latest (unpublished) cycle to have been completed is Y Mynyddoedd for soprano and piano to words by Gerallt Lloyd Owen.
Other individual free-standing songs include Y Vun Deg, to words by Howell Swrdwal.
